Mr. Mike Goffin
Mike Goffin has an extensive career spanning over four decades within the Canadian federal government and brings expertise in environmental policy and management to the Advisory Board. He is the former Regional Director General for Environment and Climate Change Canada in Ontario and has played a pivotal role in policy development and program delivery across diverse environmental domains.
Mike's expertise spans various environmental sectors, including environmental protection, wildlife management, meteorology, water and ecosystem management, intergovernmental affairs, and community outreach and engagement. For more than a decade, he has been at the forefront of Canada's endeavors aimed at restoring and safeguarding the water quality and ecosystem health of the Great Lakes. Additionally, Mike serves as the Canadian co-chair of the International Rainy Lake of the Woods Watershed Board and contributes as a member of the Aquatic Ecosystem Health Committee.
